Fantasy Box

Here is a great gift box for the holidays. Great to put jewlery or any small item in.

Supply List:
Outside box cover- 6 ½ x 12 (used large flowers from Cutie Pie DP)
Lining- 4 7/8 x 10 (used blue (reverse of large flowers) from Cutie Pie DP)
Panels for box- chipboard or cardboard- (4) 2 ¼ x 5 & (1) 1 x 5
Inside boxes- (4) 6x6 (used Ruby Red)
Box Lid- 7 x 7 (used Bashful Blue)
General Supplies:
Adhesive, sticky strip, bone folder, scissors, pencil, ruler

This is a picture of all the supplies cut and ready to assemble.

Outside box cover: on reverse side attach the cardboard pieces as shown, use a separate piece of cardboard as a spacer in between each piece. Cut the corners of the paper off (as shown)

Wrap the edges to inside the box. Attach the lining as shown. Using your bone folder carefully score in between the cardboard pieces.

With each of the 4 square box pieces and the lid piece, mark from corner to corner with a pencil and ruler to make an X











You will do these steps on all of the pieces, remember to use the bone folder to make the folds crisper. Fold a corner up to the center of the X (shown on lower left square). Take the corner and fold down to the first fold (shown on upper square). Fold inward to the line, creasing at the second fold. (shown on lower right square). Do this will all the corners and all the squares.

You’ll end up with 5 squares that look like this.

Cut a slit down 2 squares on a corner, then do the same on the other side of the corner. Then do the exact same on the opposite corner side. As shown here.

Fold the sides (that don’t have the slits) inward. Raise up the folds and the flaps. Fold flaps towards the center. Repeat this step on both sides. Put adhesive on the corners that are still showing (in picture the top and bottem)

Fold the corners inward over the flaps to the center, and repeat with other side.

Apply sticky strip to one side of each of the boxes (not the lid). Place one on the very bottem of the inside paper. Mark with your pencil and ruler on the 2nd section 1 ¼” on the 3rd section 2 ½” and the 4th section 3 ¾”. Stick down each box on the sections so the bottem of the box lines up with the mark.

Decorate as you like, if you are going to stamp it is easier if you stamp before assembling the box.
